Snack time!

Many of us moms work hard to choose foods and products that are both safe for our kids, ourselves, and the environment. That's why I think these reusable snack bags are so fabulous.

Instead of packing cheese cubes, carrots, or crackers for your child in a throw away plastic bag, try these "snack ditty" bags. They're made from 100 percent organic cotton that you can toss in the wash. The company, eco•ditty, also makes larger, sandwich-sized bags.

Better yet, head to our very own Twin Cities Green store on Hennepin Ave. in Uptown. They sell reusable cotton sandwich bags lined with water-resistant nylon and a handmade velcro enclosure. Peapods in St. Paul has adorable reusable snack and lunch bags, too, including a stainless steel lunch box that will withstand anything!

The brains behind these reusable snack and sandwich bags clearly had more than health in mind when they designed them in such cute patterns. Snack time has never been so pretty!
